Third Age 2501 (abbreviated to T.A. 2501) is the 2501st year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 2501 was also known as S.R. 901 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- Death of Léod, Lord of the Éothéod.
- Eorl, son of Léod, becomes the Lord of the Éothéod.
Calculation of the Date[edit | edit source]
Léod died when his son Eorl was 16 years old.[1] Eorl was born in T.A. 2485[2] so he was 16 in the year 2501.
