Third Age 2953 (abbreviated to T.A. 2953) is the 2953rd year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 2953 was also known as S.R. 1353 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- The Dark Tower rises again.[1]
- Death of Ruling Steward Turgon of Gondor.[2]
- Last meeting of the White Council. They debate the Rings of Power. Saruman feigns that he has discovered that the One Ring has passed down Anduin to the Sea.[3]
