Third Age 3002 (abbreviated to T.A. 3002) is the 3002nd year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 3002 was also known as S.R. 1402 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- Bilbo becomes a guest of Elrond, and settles in Rivendell.[1]
- Carelessness of Pearl Took causes the death of Lalia the Great[2] and the ascension of Ferumbras to the head of the Took Family.[3]
- Death of Éomund battling Orcs at Emyn Muil.[4]
- Death of Théodwyn.[4]
