- England and Always: Tolkien's World of the Rings, a 1981 book by Jared Lobdell.
- A Tolkien Bestiary, a 1979 book by David Day, appeared in some prints as Guide to Tolkien's World: A Bestiary.
- Tolkien's World, a 1974 book by Randel Helms.
- Tolkien's World: Paintings of Middle-earth, a 1992 collection of paintings by (among others) Inger Edelfeldt, John Howe, Roger Garland and Michael Hague.
- The World of Tolkien, a 2004 book also by David Day, appeared in some prints as Tolkien's World.
