Tolkien Studies: Volume 6, published in 2009, is the sixth volume of the annual review Tolkien Studies.

This volume published for the first time J.R.R. Tolkien's essay "Fate and Free Will" (edited by Carl F. Hostetter), it was reprinted in The Nature of Middle-earth in 2021.
Stuart D. Lee's article "J.R.R. Tolkien and The Wanderer: From Edition to Application" includes formerly unpublished extracts from Tolkien's teaching notes on The Wanderer, held at the Bodleian Library.
