Tove Jansson (1914-2001) was a Finnish author and artist, most known for her books on Moomin.
In 1962, Jansson contributed with the interior illustrations (more than 50 individual pieces) and cover art for the second Swedish edition of The Hobbit (Bilbo – en hobbits äventyr).
