Tree and Leaf is a collection of works by J.R.R. Tolkien. It was originally published in 1964 by George Allen & Unwin, and saw its US publication a year later, by Houghton Mifflin. It contains the essay On Fairy-Stories and the short story Leaf by Niggle; some later editions also include the poem Mythopoeia.
The book was originally illustrated by Pauline Baynes.
