Turambar (Third Age 397 – 667, aged 270 years) was the ninth King of Gondor, ruling for 126 years, from Third Age 541 until his death. He inherited the crown early when his father Rómendacil I was killed during an Easterling invasion of northern Ithilien.

Turambar sought vengeance for his father's death, and succeeded brilliantly. Not only did he destroy the horde, he continued his conquest into the lands of the Easterlings themselves, winning new territory in Rhûn for Gondor.

Because Turambar was young when he took the throne his rule lasted longer than a century. His was the longest reign of Gondor since that of his ancestor Meneldil. He was succeeded by his son Atanatar I.
