Ulmonan was the name of Ulmo's halls, located at the bottom of the Outer Ocean, according to the early version of the legendarium in The Book of Lost Tales.[1]

Etymology[edit | edit source]

Ulmonan is apparently a Qenya name; the first element is of course Ulmo, while the second element was, according to Christopher Tolkien, never explained by his father.[2]
