[[Robin Hyman]] became chief executive and Allen & Unwin was an Australia-based, child company of Unwin Hyman. Later Hyman sold the firm to [[HarperCollins]]. HarperCollins has since sold Unwin Hyman's academic book list to Routledge.

Unwin Hyman Ltd. is a British publisher of numerous books by J.R.R. Tolkien and calendars. Unwin Hyman was formed in 1986, as a result of amalgamated of Allen & Unwin company and Bell & Hyman. Robin Hyman became chief executive and Allen & Unwin was an Australia-based, child company of Unwin Hyman. Later Hyman sold the firm to HarperCollins. HarperCollins has since sold Unwin Hyman's academic book list to Routledge.
