I am an amateur Tolkienist who has studied Tolkien for four years (I'm under sixteen).  I am interested in medieval history, and hope to get a Ph.D. in History.  I have made up my own world with its own languages, heavily (perhaps too heavily) influenced by Tolkien, and have written several poems and started several books based on it.  I particularly am interested in Tolkien's writings concerning the Silmarils and the early elf-lords such as [[Fingolfin]] and [[Olwë]], as well as Tolkien's poetry such as the [[Lay of Leithian]] and [[Eärendil by Bilbo]].  I was previously known as 71.246.242.6, and many of my [http://tolkiengateway.net/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&target=71.246.242.6 contributions] were under that name.  I am currently writing a book, a novel, concerning the Return of the Noldor.  I guess most would call it a "fanfic".
I am a young amateur Tolkienist who discovered this site some years ago and, being a big Tolkien fan, engaged myself in improving it in general.  My favorite Tolkien readings include his poetry and the tales of the First Age, though I have also recently become more interested in the Second and Third Ages as well.  I have been rewriting articles lately for the most part, but I am no longer nearly as active as I used to be.
 
I personally am a strong Evangelical Christian.  I am interested in medieval history, and hope to major in History.  My favorite historical period to study is the early Dark Ages/late Antiquity - Byzantium, Pre-Saxon Briton, the Barbarians, all of that sort of folk.

It may seem strange that I put myself at Lore-3 when I have only read Tolkien's works for four years, but ever since about two years ago I have hardly stopped reading [[the Silmarillion]].  I read at least a little almost every day.

My current projects on this site include increasing the size of the articles on the ancient elven-lords, increasing all articles related to the [[Noldor]] and [[Gondolin]], and laying out the entire Lay of Leithian.  I am currently fourth on the list of top editors (as of 5/10/06).
