Thanks for all your help

Hey there Dr Death, I just wanted to thank you for all your help lately and also thanks for giving us a little insight into yourself ;) If you ever have any questions or suggestions don't hesitate to let me know. --Hyarion 01:59, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

Yes, thank you for all your help. I notice your edits on the House of Hador. If you want to see if it looks right, instead of saving the page, you can simply click "Show preview", which will show you a preview of the page without saving it. That way, you can make as many changes as you want, yet regulate it easily and save it only once. Just a suggestion. --Narfil Palùrfalas 14:09, 23 April 2007 (EDT)

Yeah, thanks for that tip, i apologise for clogging up the 'recent changes' section yesterday. I am pretty 'green' at editing on wiki's so you'll have to excuse that newbie error. But by christ are those family trees hard to line up!

Three Houses

Absolutely fine to merge. I was just tieing up some loose ends this morning. Thanks Findegil 10:25, 22 April 2007 (EDT)

Adding Templates

I thought you should know that if you want to add a template, you only need to put {{templatename}}, depending on the template. I thought originally that, like you, you had to copy the entire template and put it on the page, but that is not so. For the speedy deletion template, all you need to add to the top of the page is {{delete}}. There are some differences for such templates as the quote and infobox ones, but we can explain those if you ever need to use them. --Narfil Palùrfalas 12:48, 13 June 2007 (EDT)

Articles to redirects

Hello Dr Death, could you just hold off on changing articles to redirects until the discussion has made a final decision, that way we don't end up have to undo everything. Thanks! --Hyarion 13:39, 13 June 2007 (EDT)

Yeah sorry about this, and thanks for your courteousy when my impulsive behaviour perhaps warrents something a little harsher. I do however make sure that all the information included on a page i intend to redirect is already (or if not i will place it) on the page intended to redirect to.
Ah don't worry about it. Even I realized some of those may be better off as redirects, but just to be safe it is probably easier to convert it to a redirect later on than to find redirects that need to be turned into articles. Thanks for all your help and for putting up with me :) --Hyarion 13:48, 13 June 2007 (EDT)
Your 'probably' has all the tone of a man who's seen a historical document he's been studying ruined by a act of carelessness on the part of a guest ;). But i would stake my reputation as a Tolkien enthusiast on saying that any redirect i make wont be missed, as ever a pleasure. Dr Death 13:58, 13 June 2007 (EDT)
Dr Death, please do not convert anything to a redirect. Thank you. --Hyarion 11:40, 14 June 2007 (EDT)
Point taken. Dr Death 12:29, 14 June 2007 (EDT)
I'm really sorry if it seems that we keep bothering you, but this is just to let you know that articles are in the past tense. I noted on your rewrite of Faramir that it has mixed tenses. I can go ahead and change the tenses, but this is just for future reference. Otherwise a good rewrite, though. --Narfil Palùrfalas 14:12, 14 June 2007 (EDT)

Balrogs

What is you rationale for believing that the Valarauko have wings?

Simple 'rule of cool'- balrogs look far more funky with a pair of wings and so regardless of Tolkien's intentions artistic representation wins out for me. Dr Death 08:04, 10 March 2008 (EDT)
