Aldarion and Erendis: The Mariner's Wife

Morning! :) Thank you so much for the spelling corrections done to the article "Aldarion and Erendis: The Mariner's Wife". They were most useful. As for the rewords, I changed most of them back and I hope you'll forgive me for that. The reason I did so was that I try not to have the same word repeated too much at one point in the text, nor explain what is easily understood from a previous sentence. That's the manner in which I wrote the article's text (or at least tried :) ). But please, if you think those rewords are absolutely necessary, we can further talk about that. Have a good day ! :) ~~ Þelma 01:55, 7 July 2008 (EDT)

The rewords are mostly acceptable, but you should check the text of Unfinished Tales. You will see that the Council postponed the abdication for most of a year, so the abdication was not immediate. That's why I worded it that way. I have done some writing professionally, so I understand the need to vary words. Some of those were just style differences.--Theoden1 13:10, 7 July 2008 (EDT)
Oh, believe me, the UT text is very fresh in my mind. I am (re)reading the entire book again so I can complete the missing UT articles on TG. So it is not a case of "you should check". The abdication was delayed only until Erukyermë came, that is right in the begining of spring. Considering it was late autumn when Aldarion came back from his voyage, it is a small period of time until he became king (late autumn - begining of spring), so not a year. But I accept your observation. I will write that it was declared it in the "Synopsis" part of the article and mention him becoming king only in "Notes". ~~ Þelma 15:52, 7 July 2008 (EDT)
