The Valian Year is a reference to the passage of time in Valinor before the death of the Two Trees, destroyed by Melkor and Ungoliant. The account in Valian years is not used when describing the events of Beleriand and [[Middle-earth. There are approximately 140.5 years in a Valian age (apprx. 1.4 years per Valian year).
