The White Company was the name of the Prince of Ithilien's guard during the Fourth Age.

It was created by King Elessar in T.A. 3019 to serve the first Prince of Ithilien, Faramir. The first Captain of the Guard of Faramir was Beregond, in recognition of his deeds during the siege of Minas Tirith where he abandoned his post in order to save Faramir from his insane father.[1]
