Xander Forterie is a Dutch make-up artist and sculptor, who runs the Unreal studio with his business partner Rogier Samuels. They were both employed by Weta Workshop for The Lord of the Rings (film series).
Forterie worked on creature prosthetics in all three films and made several Sideshow Collectibles statuettes. He also appeared in the prologue of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring as the Dwarf lord Úri.
