The Younger Children of Ilúvatar were Men, who awoke many thousands of years after the Elder Children, the Elves.[1]
In Nargothrond the Elf Gwindor rebuked Finduilas for weeping, stating that it was not fit for the Elder Children of Ilúvatar to wed the Younger.[2]
