  • Subject: Greetings (likely for Christmas). Tolkien asks if she would like anything as a token or gift.[2][1]
  • Description: Two-page lettercard. The front of the card shows a four line quote from the Crist of Cynewulf,[2] written in Anglo-Saxon script.[3]
