First Age 469 (abbreviated to F.A. 469) is the 469th year of the Sun of the First Age of Middle-earth.
Notable events in this year include:
- Beren and Lúthien return to Middle-earth, both mortal. They inhabit Tol Galen and the area becomes known as Dor Firn-i-Guinar, "the Land of the Dead that Live".[1]
- The Union of Maedhros clears Beleriand of orcs, but in doing so reveals the Eldar's full strength to Morgoth.[2]
- The Evil Breath is unleashed from Angband and Túrin falls ill.[3]
- Death of Lalaith.[4]
- Birth of Manthor.[5]
