I've undestood that I really need to buy myself a copy of the "definitive" edition of The Lord of the Rings. I'm not intending to buy a nice collector's edition, so what do you recommend? How about this: (The Lord of the Rings)? --Morgan 17:18, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

I own (an older version of) that. Has it been amended to include changes made in the 50th Anniversary Edition? If not, I'd got for this instead (if you don't mind one large chunky book). --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 17:31, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
I have the red 50th anniversary paperback; it's not the most convenient size to read.
The boxed set is the amended 50th anniversary edition. -- Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 17:42, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, guys! I might go for the 50th anniversary hardback, it was cheaper than I expected. --Morgan 17:48, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
