Talk:Anglo-Saxon

This should be retitled as Old English as it is more correct and indeed considered more correct than Anglo-Saxon as a name for that form of the English language. Tolkien called it Old English or "ancient English, predominately, in his works. √Čofrith 20:46, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Agree; I believe Shippey noted (somewhere in J.R.R. Tolkien: Author of the Century) Tolkien actually disliked the term. -- Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 21:43, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
