Talk:Eithel Ivrin

Quote from the text: Eithel Ivrin was the springs that fed a lakeland.

Is 'lakeland' an actual word in English? Merriam-Webster only knows a Florida city named Lakeland. Cambridge Dictionaries Online doesn't know the word either. ~ Earendilyon 14:57, 29 December 2007 (EST)

The OED, Collins Dictionaries, and Chambers Dictionary (the three most popular in the UK) all have no record of "lakeland". Urban Dictionary lists is as meaning a place where people go to die, and lists is as being a term synonymous with the Lake District in the UK. I'm not sure if it is a real word, but even if it is I'm not sure if it's relevant to Eithel Ivrin, to be honest.--Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 11:58, 30 December 2007 (EST)
