Talk:King's Letter

So, I'm curious, in the Sindarin text of the letter, the word "Arathornion" is used, but in the English text, the words "son of Arathorn," which is the English translation, is never found. Does anyone know why this is? Corsair Caruso 02:49, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Yea the opening line of the letter is not the same in the Elvish and the translated text. The Elvish text would say "Elfstone Strider (Quenya): Aragorn son of Arathorn Elfstone (Sindarin)". Instead it is translated simply as "Aragorn Strider The Elfstone". Perhaps it didn't sound well in English, or Tolkien didn't care about an exact translation. Sage 09:11, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Hmm, I seem to have done something weird to this page, it should link up to "The King's Letter," but I don't think it does. Can anyone help with this? Corsair Caruso 02:51, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

I moved the discussion here. Not sure how Talk:King& was created. Sage 09:11, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
Maybe a coding mishap with the '. --Ederchil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 09:21, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
