I'm not that keen on this. Would anyone object to my removing it? --Mith (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 15:14, 25 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Aesthetic or technical reason? If the latter, I could try and improve the quality (using the original source) and upload a better version.--Morgan 17:27, 25 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Clicking on the image provides the information that it came from Wesley Frank and The Shire (book) from MERP. The image is cut in half and the right side apparently shows a character Elindiel swearing fealty in T.A. 10 to the Kings of Gondor. Somehow this is associated with Valandil, the King of Arnor(?). To me the image looks like a card from a Tarot deck. Unless it can be shown that it is supposed to be an artist's impression of Valandil I'd be in favor of dropping it. --Gamling 18:21 ,25 August 2011 (UTC)
You're almost correct - but the image does not show any of "the Kings of Gondor", it does actually portray a King of Arnor (p. 25). The timeline on page 24 says that the (non-canon) ceremony took place in T.A. 10, which is, I believe the reason why this image has been associated with Valandil.--Morgan 18:40, 25 August 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
