Synopsis[edit | edit source]
Éowyn and Faramir meet in the House of Healing in Minas Tirith after the Army of the West has left the city. Éowyn states that "The city has fallen silent. There is no warmth left in the sun. It grows so cold." Faramir comforts her saying "It is just the damp of the first spring rain," telling her he does not believe the darkness will endure. Faramir reaches for Éowyn's hand and she rests her head on his shoulders and they look out across the Pelennor Fields.
