Úner

Úner, 'Noman', was the man Ancalimë said she would 'prefer above all others' when Hallacar proposed to her after wooing her under the pseudonym Mámandil.[1] Ancalimë meant that she would not like to marry any man.
Etymology[edit | edit source]
The elements of the name are ú-, a negative prefix,[2] and nér "(adult) man".[3]
