==Formation==
The host composed of a vast army from Gondor (actually just a small force compared to the full might of Gondor)<ref name=gondor/> that arrived in a massive fleet, which hardly could find harborage, filling [[Forlond]], [[Harlond (Lindon)|Harlond]], and the [[Grey Havens]].

Northmen, proud princes of [[Rhovanion]] and riders tall and fair (perhaps [[Éothéod]]) came with beautiful [[horses]] from the [[Vales of Anduin]] that gathered most praise when they arrived to [[Mithlond]].<ref name=gondor/>

[[Círdan]], Master of the [[Grey Havens]], summoned all who would fight from the [[Elves of Lindon]], as well as the remnants of the [[Dúnedain of the North]].<ref name=gondor/> Among the forces of former Arthedain were some [[Hobbits]] from [[the Shire]].<ref name=gondor/>
==History==
In {{TA|1973}} [[Arthedain]] was in danger and King [[Eärnil II]] sent his son Prince [[Earnur]] and a massive fleet to their aid. After [[Arnor]] [[fall of Fornost|fell]] to [[Angmar]], Prince [[Eärnur]], in his capacity as [[Captain of Gondor]], reached belatedly [[Lindon]] with his fleet to the aid of Arthedain.

Although it was too late, the fleet and the host it brought, seemed so massive, that there was much joy and wonder among Elves and Men.<ref name=gondor/> The allied host, led by Cirdan and Earnur, marched east across the river [[Lune]] to [[Fornost]] to challenge the [[Witch-king]], while the main body of the Allies' horsemen, was to pass around the hills to surprise Fornost from the north. The Witch-king was crushed at the [[Battle of Fornost]] ({{TA|1975}}).

After the main part of the Battle, the Host was joined by a force of Elves from [[Rivendell]] led by [[Glorfindel]], who chased the Witch-king.<ref name=gondor/>

==About Me==
I'm just a person who got interested in the works of [[J.R.R. Tolkien]]. I like going on Tolkien gateway a lot, mostly to read more about the many facts of Middle Earth. My favorite Middle-Earth character is [[Gil-Galad]]. Usually I spend my time expanding the story of [[User:Dio#The_Adventures_of_Bob_Talthalion|Bob Talthalion]] (my fanmade middle-earth character) , a mysterious sindarin elvish warrior rarely mentioned in the ancient books of the Sindar. I have collected many stories of the great elven warrior and am compiling it into a tale. I'm usually active on Tolkien gateway. When I'm not, I'm either watching anime or rewatching lotr. Or maybe sleeping. Or eating. I could be doing a variety of things, but mostly during quarantine (note for future: this was written June 2020) I like to go on to Tolkien Gateway a lot. I believe that the Hobbit movies are seriously underrated. People hate on the movies for having bad CGI, but I honestly think they did well on the movies. And even if the CGI is bad, they only had one year to make each movie. Usually, If I'm in the Recent changes page, I'm probably just editing my user page or something like that. The Adventures of Bob Talthalion won't write itself! Or I'm just fixing the tiny, tiny mistakes nobody finds in random articles. Someone has to do it.

Bob was born on March 21, F.A 297, in [[Mithrim]]. He was one of the [[Elves of Mithrim]]. He was given the name Talthalion, in [[Sindarin]], meaning "foot-strong", for he was one of the fastest elves of his kind. He showed signs of great wisdom, speed and strength. He lived in a humble cave home near Lake Mithrim. He always wore a blue elven garb with a brown hood, elvish armor gauntlets, and shoulder armor. ===Early Adventures===
One Morning, On May 8, F.A 367, Bob was out hunting, when suddenly he encountered a group of Morgoth's orcs. He was armed with nothing but a measly knife, but his speed was nothing ever seen before. He sped through all 56 of the orcs, killing them all. He named the knife, Maeggond, meaning sharp stone in Sindarin, for it was a measly stone knife, yet it was as sharp as any steel knife. He then returned back to his cave-home in Mithrim. <ref name=One/>

Another day on June 9, F.A 399, Bob was hired by [[Fingolfin]], [[High King of the Noldor]] in Mithrim, to find an artifact. The artifact was not known to many, and Bob was one of the few who knew it. The Book of the [[Noldor]] (also Non-canon). An ancient book detailing the history of the Noldor and its many high kings. Fingolfin hired Bob for this job because he knew he could get the job done fast. And so Bob equipped his knife, Maeggond, and ran out of Mithrim, for he needed no steed, as he was faster than one.

He did not know where to look, and was confused. He was in the middle of East Beleriand. So he went to the nearest bar to ask some shady people where to look. The bar was named East Beleriand Bar, and it was headed by a [[Belegost]] dwarf named Jim Saurafoa. His last name was [[Quenya]], meaning, foul breath. It was a name given to him by the elves, for he had foul breath. He spoke Quenya, Sindarin, Khuzdul, and Common Speak. Bob only spoke Sindarin. Jim decided to help Bob on his quest, for he knew about the Book of the Noldor and its whereabouts. He believed it lay in an ancient bookstore in the forest of [[Doriath]]. So they set out for Doriath. While on the journey, Bob learned how to speak Quenya, Khuzdul, and Common Speak from Jim.

Jim and Bob arrived in the forest of Doriath after a journey of one day. However, as they passed through the forest, they were attacked by elven archers of King Thingol of Doriath. Bob pulled out his knife, Maeggond, and Jim pulled out his axe, Brandranc, meaning Noble-arm, in Noldorin. However, they recognized Bob Talthalion as a Sindarin Elf, and he was allowed entry in Doriath. There they found the ancient bookstore in Doriath. However, it was occupied by a troll, who had somehow gotten in there. Bob and Jim faced the troll. It rampaged and destroyed the bookstore and some trees. Jim tried to face it with Brandranc, but was cast aside by the troll, flew into a tree, and fell unconscious. Bob was left alone to face the troll with just his small dagger, Maeggond.

The troll found a tree branch as a mighty club and tried to whack Bob. But Bob was far faster than the troll, and was given enough time to make a plan to defeat the troll. The troll whacked the ground underneath him and he got a plan. Bob went under the troll and sliced both of the troll's legs. It screamed in pain and was blind for a second, giving Bob enough time to latch onto its back. The troll swung round heavily and tried to shake Bob off, but Bob held his ground and was not shaken off. Bob stabbed his way up the troll's back and finally reached the troll's head. He swung his knife, and stabbed the troll's head. The troll fell to the ground and died.

After Jim regained consciousness, Bob and Jim returned to Fingolfin with the Book of the Noldor. Fingolfin gave Bob and Jim a glorious reward of gold and coins. However, Jim could not stay in Mithrim, for the Sindarin who lived there, all except for Bob, hated dwarves. So Bob departed Mithrim, with Jim, to go live in the middle of East Beleriand, where they built a humble home, with a forge and a pool. Bob later wrote a book about his Doriath adventure, called Doriath Adventures.<ref>Doriath Adventures by Bob Talthalion</ref>

===The Union of Maedhros and the Nirnaeth Arnoediad===
One day on F.A 472, In the humble home of Bob Talthalion and Jim Saurafoa, a letter arrived. The first one in months, maybe years. It was addressed to Jim Saurafoa, and it was from the Fen of Serech. It was from his cousin, Freddy of [[Belegost]]. Freddy was a measly captain in the army of the Dwarves of Belegost. He wanted Jim and Bob to come to the Fen of Serech and join the [[Union of Maedhros]] and fight in the [[Nirnaeth Arnoediad]]. Jim and Bob took their weapons and sped to the Fen of Serech to join the Union of Maedhros as mercenaries. Nobody knew them, except for Fingon, son of Fingolfin, barely recognizing Bob. Bob and Jim had no idea what they were going into. They were confused as to why they were standing in the middle of a huge army, waging war on Morgoth. Jim didn't even know who Morgoth was. Bob and Jim joined Fingon's forces in the fight. They were also given new armor by the dwarves of Belegost. Bob equipped an elven bow and sword, still keeping his old dagger, Maeggond. Jim took a shield and his axe, Brandranc and charged into battle with the rest of Fingon's army.

Fingon's forces reached Angband. Bob was slaying orcs left and right. Jim pushed into Angband like the rest of Fingon's forces. Suddenly, Angband was emptied as the worst of Morgoth's forces came through. Bob fought the mighty balrogs in single combat. Jim fought the mightiest of them, Gothmog, being the last to protect Fingon. Gothmog easily slew Jim, and then killed Fingon with his black axe. Bob mourned Jim and continued fighting. A lot of Fingon's host was slain. The rest of them, including Bob, escaped with [[Turgon|Turgon's]] [[Gondolin]] host.<ref>Elves at War by Bob Talthalion</ref>

Bob Talthalion then lived in Gondolin and worked as a freelance mercenary. He wrote a book about his experiences in the Nirnaeth Arnoediad. It was called Elves at War. Bob was also mentioned in the scrolls of Gondolin.

===The Fall of Gondolin===
One day in F.A 510, [[Morgoth|Morgoth's]] forces besieged the city. At this time, Bob Talthalion was sipping Elven Soda, and reading the [[Quenta Silmarillion]], in his new humble home in Gondolin. Him, and many other citizens of Gondolin were gathered by [[Tuor]] and [[Idril]], and he escaped the [[Fall of Gondolin]]. He then went back to his humble home in the middle of East Beleriand. He establishes a settlement there, for some of the survivors of the Fall of Gondolin. He names it, Ostsarnrath, in Sindarin, meaning, Fort Stony Street, for its streets were made of stone. Bob becomes lord of Ostsarnrath. Some elven warriors form an army, and thus is born the army of Ostsarnrath. The city remained intact until F.A 587. ===The Destruction of Beleriand===
One day in F.A 587, Bob Talthalion, Lord of Ostsarnrath, was just chilling. Suddenly his people warned him that [[Beleriand]] would be destroyed. So he took most of his people and fled to [[Ossiriand]], and thus, Bob and his people survived the Destruction of Beleriand, but Ostsarnrath was destroyed, along with the rest of Beleriand. <ref name=One/>

After wandering around Middle Earth for a few years, in S.A 3, the people of Ostsarnrath go to Lindon. There, Bob encounters an elderly Freddy of Belegost, cousin of Jim Saurafoa. Freddy, who is now lord of the Dwarves of Belegost, gives the title, Dwarf-friend, to Bob. He then dies of old age. Bob settles in Lindon for a while. <ref name=One/>

===Return of the Mercenary===
One Morning in S.A 67, Bob Talthalion makes his return as a freelance mercenary when he is hired by [[Gil-Galad]], High King of the Noldor and Lord of Lindon. The Book of the Noldor has been lost once again, and Gil-Galad has heard legends of Bob from the first age, serving Fingolfin. Bob agrees and sets out to try and find it.

Bob takes his old dagger,Maeggond, his old sword from the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, and a spear given to him by Gil-Galad. Bob sets out to find the book. As he was on the first quest to find the book, he is very confused. So he takes a ship and goes to [[Numenor]].

After landing in Numenor, Bob visits the king, [[Elros|Tar-Minyatur]]. He asks about the Book of the Noldor, and Elros orders his men to direct Bob to an ancient Numenorean bookstore. There he was greeted by the owner of the bookstore, a young Numenorean scribe named Timmy. Timmy was proficient in every language in Middle-Earth, including Black-Speech. Timmy was also good with a bow and sword. Timmy's dream was to be a mercenary scribe, a scribe who was also a part-time mercenary. Bob took Timmy as his apprentice, and they found the Book of the Noldor and sailed away, back to Middle-Earth.

After receiving a handsome reward of Gold from Gil-galad, Bob and Timmy then rebuilt Ostsarnrath near Greenwood the Great, in Rhovanion. There, Ostsarnrath was populated by Noldorin and Sindarin elves once again, and Bob was made Lord of Ostsarnrath again. Timmy became the High Scribe of Ostsarnrath, and the Ostsarnrath army was born again. Bob depicted his adventures to Timmy and Timmy wrote a book about them, called The Adventures of Bob Talthalion. <ref name=One/>

===More Adventures in Ostsarnrath===
The year is S.A 202. Ostsarnrath is being guarded by Sindarin Ostsarnrath soldiers. Suddenly, a hooded figure approaches the gate on horseback. He asks to see the Lord of Ostsarnrath, and his wish is granted. The figure is brought before Bob Talthalion, Lord of Ostsarnrath. The hooded figure is an agent of [[Sauron]], and a powerful Dwarvish mercenary. His name is Gerald of [[Erebor]], and he is of the Longbeards. He challenges Talthalion to a duel and he accepts.

Bob and Gerald are standing in the middle of a courtyard. Both are clad in armor. Bob unsheaths his sword and charges at him with astonishing speed. But Gerald surprisingly dodges it, and pushes Bob towards a tree. Gerald throws his axe at Bob's head, but Bob dodges just in time and pulls out his bow. There he fires arrows rapidly at Gerald. Gerald dodges all of the arrows, until one hits him. Two. Three. But he still survives. ===Hired by Numenor===
One day in S.A 402, an emissary from Numenor arrives. Tar-Minyatur, king of Numenor, wants to hire Bob Talthalion. So Bob takes the role of Mercenary once again. He takes along Timmy and a battalion of 100 Ostsarnrath soldiers, led by his best commander, the [[Noldorin]] elf Torthion. So they set out for Numenor.

They land in Numenor and are greeted by King Tar-Minyatur, who is now old. They are given new weapons and armor by the Numenorean Forges. Bob and Torthion are given new Elvish armor and swords. Timmy is given new Numenorean armor and he gets a flaming sword, called Lachothalion, meaning Flame-strong in Sindarin. Tar-Minyatur explains to them the mission. The [[Ring of Barahir]] has been stolen by an agent of Sauron and Tar-Minyatur has hired them to get it back. So they depart Numenor and go to the Misty Mountains, where Tar-Minyatur believes the agent is.

Bob and his group search the Misty Mountains. Suddenly they are attacked by Gundabad orcs. Bob equips his spear and charges into battle. Timmy follows, lighting up the mountain surface with flames. Torthion orders the Ostsarnrath archers to fire a volley of arrows, and the orcs are quickly decimated. Only twelve orcs survive, and they try to run back to their camp.

The group follows the orcs back to their camp, and they successfully ambush it. Bob unsheathes his new elven blade and slaughters countless orcs. Timmy lights the camp up in flames, killing many orcs. Torthion leads the Ostsarnrath forces into battle against the Gundabad orcs. They successfully kill them all, with only 2 casualties on their side. Suddenly, the leader of the orcs, an Easterling mercenary comes back to the camp with another group of orcs. Bob leads his group into battle once again. Torthion and the Ostsarnrath take out their bows and shoot at the orcs from afar. Bob goes into single combat with the Easterling mercenary, and Timmy swings Lachothalion, killing numerous orcs.

In the end, Bob and his group triumphs over the orcs. Bob searches the Easterling's body and finds the Ring of Barahir. Bob and his group returns to Numenor, where they are rewarded with loads of gold. Bob is given the Book of the Sindar, which depicts every event in the History of the Sindar. He removes all mentions of himself, except for the Fall of Gondolin. He and his group then go back to Ostsarnrath. <ref name=Two/>

===Ostsarnrath Under Siege===
When Bob Talthalion and his group arrived near Ostsarnrath, they were shocked to find it under siege by orcs. They took a secret passage back into the city and arrived just in time, as the orcs broke through the gate. They were led by a powerful numenorean mercenary working for Sauron, named Taurthalion, meaning overwhelming hero in Noldorin. He led the orcs into battle with the Ostsarnrath elves. Bob gathered he rest of Ostsarnrath's army and charged at the orcs. Torthion led the archers of Ostsarnrath on top of the city hall. They fired a volley of arrows at an orc battalion halfway through the city, killing them. Timmy led some elves into battle, killing orcs left and right.

Bob went toe to toe with Taurthalion. Taurthalion swung his mighty blade. Bob dodged it. He tried to strike quickly with his great spear, but Taurthalion appeared to be just as fast as Bob, and caught the spear. He swerved it around 3 times, and Bob flew into a building, which collapsed on top of him. Timmy then engaged Taurthalion in battle. He blocked every hit and countered with his flaming blade. Taurthalion zoomed past Timmy and cut his hand. Timmy's sword flew up into the air, and Taurthalion caught it. Taurthalion then slew Timmy with his own blade.

When Bob got out of the collapsed building, lightly injured, and saw that Timmy was dead, he charged at Taurthalion with his elven blade. They exchanged a series of blows, each equally strong. Meanwhile, Torthion led the army of Ostsarnrath against the orcs and drove them out of the city and continued the battle outside. Bob and Taurthalion continued fighting. Taurthalion drove Bob to the edge of a cliff, and wrestled his blade from his hands. Taurthalion prepared to kill Bob. Bob quickly grabbed his old stone knife, Maeggond and sliced Taurthalion's left hand off. He yelled in pain, and Timmy's blade, Lachothalion, flew up in the air. Bob caught it and stabbed Taurthalion. Taurthalion drops to the ground and Bob pushes his body off of the cliff. Outside of the city, the orcs are completely killed. But there are many casualties. The battle ends.

After the battle, the citizens of Ostsarnrath band together to help rebuild it. Torthion is appointed as Grand Marshall of the Ostsarnrath army, and Bob decides to keep Lachothalion, Timmy's flaming sword. Bob then reigns as Lord of Ostsarnrath once again. He also writes a book about his mercenary career, called My Mercenary Career, Detailed. <ref name=Two/>

===The Last Alliance===
The year is S.A 3,430. Gil-Galad sends a messenger to Ostsarnrath, bearing a message to the Lord of Ostsarnrath. Bob Talthalion is currently in his backyard, preparing a barbecue. The messenger approaches him, telling him about the [[Last Alliance of Elves and Men]]. Bob joins the Last Alliance and rides with his army and Torthion to [[Weathertop|Amon Sûl]], where they met with the rest of the alliance. They camped there for three years, and the army got new armor, while the rest of the alliance made plans.

Timeskip to S.A 3,434. Bob and his forces have survived the Battle of Dagorlad and are in the middle of the [[Siege of Barad-dûr]]. Gil-Galad and his men charge into battle, and the army of Ostsarnrath charge as well. Bob decimates hundreds of orcs, and Torthion fights valiantly as well. During the Siege of Barad-dûr, the Ostsarnrath army suffers heavy casualties. The Siege lasts until S.A 3,441, when Sauron comes in person to battle the alliance. The Ostsarnrath army, Bob, and Torthion form a shield wall to protect themselves against Sauron. Sauron decimates the Alliances forces and kills Gil-Galad and [[Elendil]]. But [[Isildur]] grabs the shards of [[Narsil]], and cuts Sauron's finger off, ending the Siege. Bob and his forces go back to Ostsarnrath. Bob then writes a book about his experience in the Siege of Barad-dûr called Ostsarnrath at War.<ref>Ostsarnrath at War by Bob Talthalion</ref>

One day in S.A 301, Bob Talthalion was hired by the [[Kings of Arnor|King of Arnor]], [[Eldacar]]. So he rode for [[Annúminas]], the capital of Arnor. Torthion governed Ostsarnrath in his stead. When he arrived at Annúminas, he was greeted by the king and he explained the job. Bob was to recover the Sacred Book of Arnor, a book that contained the secrets of Arnor. It had been stolen by a band of outlaws. Bob was accompanied by two other mercenaries whom Eldacar had also hired. Billy Kundo, a Dwarven mercenary, whose last name meant guardian. Billy was from Erebor, and was clad in golden dwarven armor. He fought with a golden sword. And Joe Brandybuck, a hobbit mercenary. Joe was a skilled archer, and was almost as fast as Bob. So the trio set out for a desolate town in Rhovanion, where Eldacar believes the outlaws were hiding.
