The error may be in Tolkien's original documents, but the daughter of Bregil ought to be the GRANDMOTHER of Brandir, not the mother. So, either the generation of Beldis' parents is missing, or Beldis has a daughter who marries Handir and becomes the mother of Brandir. But Beldis (born in FA 411) should not be the mother of Brandir (born in 465). Handir is unlikely to marry someone thirty years older than he is...but he could marry the daughter of someone born in 411!</div>
