I have been using Cirth since the late 1960s. I have an ad poster from Caedmon Records that is from the 1970-1973 era that uses certh-28 as if it stood for a single word, probably "a" or "the".<br />

There is a very tiny note printed at the bottom of the poster that reads:<br />
<br />
"(The first advertisement in the Elvish Language)"<br />
<br />
The poster itself reads as follows (each line is shown as on the poster and each line is in Cirth except for the line with Tolkien's name).<br />
