ambarmenië

From Tolkien Gateway

Ambarmenië is Quenya for "the way of the world", which is, the conditions in which the creatures lived within Ambar, the world. These conditions, being created by Ilúvatar himself, were fixed and could not be altered by the creatures themselves.[1]

Etymology[edit | edit source]

The term is clearly a combination of Ambar ("the World") + gerund of men- ("to go, proceed, move").[2]
