Charles Leslie Wrenn (1895–1969) was a fellow Inkling with J.R.R. Tolkien. He became Rawlinson and Bosworth Professor of Anglo-Saxon at the University of Oxford in 1945, the successor in the chair to J.R.R. Tolkien, a post he held until 1963.
