Richard "Dick" Plotz (b. 1948) was the founder of the Tolkien Society of America. He had received a letter from J.R.R. Tolkien (Letter 276)[1] explaining on The Tolkien Society. He personally interviewed J.R.R. Tolkien in the late 1960s under the aegis of Seventeen Magazine. He also is known for a letter (from Tolkien) specifying the declension of the noun in late Quenya (hence called "Plotz Declension")[2].
