Douglas Clark Kenney (December 10, 1947- August 29, 1980) was the co-author of Bored of the Rings along with longtime collaborator Henry Beard. He was a creative mastermind at, and a co-founder of National Lampoon. He wrote for the magazine, the radio program, the stage productions, comedy albums and the TV special Lemmings: Dead in Concert as well as the first film Animal House. He died falling off a cliff in Hawaii at the age of 33.
