Everard Took was a Hobbit of the Shire.

History[edit]

Etymology[edit]

The meaning is "boar-strong" (ever + hard).[3]

Other versions of the legendarium[edit]

Everard's name was originally 'Prospero' until Tolkien's sixth draft version of A Long-expected Party.[4]
