Fifty New Poems for Children: An Anthology Selected from Books Recently Published by Basil Blackwell is a book which includes J.R.R. Tolkien's poem "Goblin Feet" (erroneously attributed to "J.R.R. Tolkein"), which had previously been published in Oxford Poetry 1915. It also contains the poem "Romance" by E. F. A. Geachh, which Douglas A. Anderson has suggested could have inspired "The Road Goes Ever On" in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.[1]

Although the book does not give a publication date, 1922 has been assumed.[1] However, Pieter Collier has dated it as 1924.[2]. It contains pieces published in 1922 and a copy with a January 1923 dated inscription has been seen. The British Library catalogues also list it as 1922, and the book was advertised in the Asiatic Review (April 1922).[source?]
It was reprinted in 1924 and 1929, and American editions have been seen published by Bretano’s (undated) and Appleton & Co. (1924).[source?]
