First Age 458 (abbreviated to F.A. 458) is the 458th year of the Sun of the First Age of Middle-earth.
Notable events in this year include:
- A legion of orcs passes into Brethil and is defeated by the Haladin with the aid of Beleg of Doriath.[1]
- Following the battle, Húrin and Huor become lost and cross the Brithiach and wander into Dimbar. Spotted by Thorondor, they are rescued and taken to Gondolin.[2]
