As Hyarion noted in the Discord server, Tolkien Gateway has recently reached 12000 content articles! Of course, the amount of articles is not important, but the quality! Correcting a typo or adding pagination to a reference is even more important than writing a whole new article. But I can say for sure that both the amount and quality of edits has not been so high since I began editing 3 years ago as in the last months. Congratulations to all!

Also I'd like to note that, at the beginning of this year, TG's images also reached a number of 12000. Around the 10 of May, the number of registered users reached 8000. --LorenzoCB 15:18, 29 July 2022 (UTC)

I can say one thing with certainty; we would not have reached this milestone without the help of thousands of volunteers. That includes anonymous visitors who took the time to fix one single typo, as well as the seasoned editors who have continued to donate their time to the project day in and day out for years. Each edit brings us one step closer to our goal of having a reliable, respected resource for the Tolkien community; but we still have a long way to go. Thank you so much to all our past and current editors, and to our future editors; come join the fun! --Hyarion 15:43, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
I propose that we make an effort to review and check the sources for articles dealing with famous characters from the Second Age, with the Rings of Power, Eregion, Lindon, Moria, Númenor, the War of the Elves and Sauron and the Downfall of Númenor. It is possible that viewers of the new TV series "The Rings of Power" may want to look up information about the characters and the events of the Second Age. I started to do some review work on the Celebrimbor page, the Ost-in-Edhil page, the War of the Elves and Sauron page and the Sirannon page, but I am far from being done. The Galadriel, Celeborn, Celebrimbor and Amroth pages involve some judgements as what to put in the main sections of the page and what to put in the Other versions of the legendarium section page, because there are various and often conflicting essays by J.R.R. Tolkien. Sometimes one element of an essay is used in the main sections while another element of the same essay is used in the Other versions of the legendarium section. For example, the section Concerning Galadriel and Celeborn section of the chapter The History of Galardriel and Celeborn in Unfinished Tales of Númenor and Middle-earth provides the most detailed materiel about Galadriel, Celeborn and the history of the second age, but the fact that Amroth is their son seems odd and there is other more detailed material where Amroth is the son of Amdir. Personally I am happy with sticking with the information from Concerning Galadriel and Celeborn and as information for the main section and only removing Amroth as the son of Galadriel and Celeborn to the Other versions of the legendarium section (Christopher Tolkien also thinks that this idea was later rejected and replaced). --Akhorahil 10:48, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
