Fourth Age 9 (abbreviated to Fo.A. 9 or F.O.) is the 9th year of the Sun of the Fourth Age of Middle-earth. Unless otherwise stated, Tolkien Gateway follows Shire usage in Appendix B for reckoning Fourth Age years: Fourth Age 9 was also known as S.R. 1430 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- Birth of Faramir Took, son of Peregrin Took and Diamond of Long Cleeve.[1]
- Death of Merimac Brandybuck.[2]
- Death of Vigo Boffin.[3]
