Francesco Nepitello (born 29 December 1967) is an Italian tabletop game designer, who often works together with his long-time friend Marco Maggi.[1][2]

Having grown up playing Dungeons and Dragons, he worked on the 1993 roleplaying game Lex Arcana. The popularity of Magic: The Gathering meant the end of the small Italian roleplaying game market, after which he moved on to designing board games. He still continued playing roleplaying games, and in February 2003 he mentioned being an avid player of Decipher's The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying Game[2] A year later, War of the Ring, a board game he co-designed, was released.[1]

Under Cubicle 7 Entertainment, he was the lead designer of The One Ring roleplaying game.[1] He would continue in that role after Free League Publishing took over the license.[3]
