Gilwen (born F.A. 397) was the fourth child and third daughter of Bregor, the fifth chieftain of the House of Bëor, and the great-great-granddaughter of Bëor the Old. She had two elder sisters Bregil and Hirwen, and two brothers Bregolas the elder and Barahir the younger.[1]
