Gondamon is a city in the Ered Luin at the midway point between Thorin's Hall and Duillond in the game The Lord of the Rings Online.
History[edit | edit source]
Gondamon was first founded by the survivors of the Fall of Edhelion. After the Elves left it for Duillond, the Dwarves settled here and made it to their liking.[1] During the War of the Ring the lord of Gondamon was Mathi Stouthand, who became lord by fighting in the War of the Longbeards and the Dourhands.
Etymology[edit | edit source]
The city has a Sindarin name, thanks to it's former Elven inhabitants: Gondamon, which means "Hill of Stone" with gond meaning "stone"[2] and amon meaning "hill".[3]
