gwaew is the Sindarin (and Noldorin) word for "wind".[1][2]

Etymology[edit | edit source]

In the Etymologies, Noldorin gwaew derives from the root .[1]

In a later linguistic manuscript, Sindarin gwaew derives from the root WAYA ("blow (as of wind)").[2]
