Herion (Third Age 2037[1] – 2148,[2] aged 111 years) was the third Ruling Steward of Gondor.

He ruled for thirty-two years during the time known as the Watchful Peace,[3] and was succeeded by his son Belegorn.
Etymology[edit | edit source]
Herion is a Sindarin name. Its meaning is not glossed, but Paul Strack and David Salo suggest it is a compound of hîr ("lord") and -ion ("son").[4]
