Hildibrand Took was a Hobbit of the Shire.
History[edit]
Hildibrand was a son of the Old Took. He also had a son, Sigismond, born in S.R. 1290.[1]
Etymology[edit]
The name contains hild "battle" and brand "sword".[2] Hildebrand is a figure from German legends.
