Hrívë

Hrívë was the Quenya name for winter, and is called Rhîw in Sindarin. In the Reckoning of Rivendell it was fifth of the six "seasons", and corresponded more or less to the 72 days between 1 December and 10 February in the Shire Calendar.[1]
