King of the World is a title claimed by Morgoth after returning to Middle-earth in the First Age.[1] It was later used by Ar-Pharazôn in late Second Age, in the peak of his power.[2]

Other forms[edit | edit source]

The Quenya form was Tarumbar, with the rejected form Aran Endór ("King of Middle-earth").[3]

Sauron also claimed the equivalent titles King of Kings and Lord of the World.[4]
