Rómendacil II (T.A. 1126[1] – 1366[2], aged 240 years), born Minalcar, was the nineteenth King of Gondor.

Minalcar was the son of prince Calmacil and nephew of King Narmacil I.
A vigourous man, as his uncle King Narmacil I recognized, in order to unburden himself from the cares of government, the indolent King appointed Minalcar as Regent of the realm in T.A. 1240. Minalcar is Quenya. Its meaning is not glossed, but as Paul Strack explains, it might mean "First Glory" and be a compound of minya ("first") and alcar ("glory").[3]
Rómendacil is Quenya. It means "East-victor".[4] It is a compound of rómen ("east") and -(n)dacil ("victor").[5]
