Rowlie Appledore was a man of Bree and member of the Appledore Family.

Rowlie was killed in early January, T.A. 3019, fighting Bill Ferny and Sharkey's ruffians.[1]
Etymology[edit | edit source]
Rowlie is diminutive of Rowland, from hrod "fame" + land.[2] Appledore is an old word for "apple tree".
