The Stone of the Hapless was the hallowed stone on the banks of the River Teiglin that commemorated Túrin and Nienor Níniel, and Morwen their mother. It was also called the Standing Stone and Talbor.

Later, during the drowning of Beleriand, the site of the Stone of the Hapless did not drown but remained as an island instead.
