Merging this page with Kings of Arthedain
I think we should merge this page with that of the kings of Arthedian. This page already treats kingship of the two countries almost interchangably. Lending further support is the fact that the line is the same between both kingdoms, and after Agreleb I the kings of Arthedain claimed kingship over all of Arnor.
The main argument against it as I see it is that the lines are in fact separate in Appendix A of ROTK, and I grant that. However I feel like we could really merge these two articles into one like "Kings of the North" or "Kings of Isildur's Line". I don't think the average user is going to care enough to make the distinction, and I feel like even if we did try to end up copying information between both articles a lot of it would be redundant. - The "King of Arnor" is not the same as the "King of Arthedain". Kings of successor kingdoms are not the same political entities. The fact that Argeleb I claimed the kingship of Arnor as the King of Arthedain doesn't mean anything as Arnor as a political entity was defunct at the time. Tolkien makes sure to differentiate the two entities and we should too.--Tolkienator 19:53, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

- Yes that's good. That info should be moved to the "King of Arthedain" page. The articles should be made distinct from one another. I will look to polishing up both pages in the near future.--Tolkienator 23:22, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
Move proposal
I believe that this page should be singular since it is about the title “King of Arnor”, not a list of the kings, but a list of those who had the title “King of Arnor”.Dour1234 (talk) 16:24, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
